Spanish Lessons 121
October 16, 2011My lessons began with Victoria out of a need to learn Spanish in
order to complete research for my PhD. When I started with her, I had
been learning Spanish for two years both independently and with another
teacher, and had spent a month in Spain doing a language course.
Nonetheless, I still felt that my level needed to dramatically improve
before I spend an extended period of time in Spain from January 2012.
And improved it has. As a result of Victoria’s patience, dedication and
skill as a teacher, I feel that my level of conversation,
reading/writing and comprehension has markedly increased. Furthermore,
Victoria has allowed me to tailor our sessions to suit my academic
needs, while keeping an eye on key areas such as grammar and
pronunciation. Due to Victoria’s tuition, I now feel that my level is on
the way to being sufficient enough for my research purposes and, rather
than being daunted, I am excited at the prospect of enhancing my skills
when I arrive in Spain. I would highly recommend Victoria to anyone
interested in learning Spanish, at any level.
